Charles "Mask" Lewis Fighter of the Year •Jon Jones (Wouldn't be surprised if Ronda won, but she shouldn't.) Female Fighter of the Year •Ronda Rousey Breakthrough Fighter of the Year •Renan Barao (Cormier should get this one, but he isn't nominated. Ronda will probably win.) International Fighter of the Year •Chan Sung Jung (Or Gus...or Kampmann...this is a dumb category. There should just be one Fighter of the Year category.) Fight of the Year •Dan Henderson vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (Or Alvarez/Chandler, either way) Knockout of the Year •Edson Barboza vs. Terry Etim Submission of the Year •Frank Mir vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (UFC 140) Comeback of the Year •Frank Mir vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (UFC 140) Shawn Tompkins Coach of the Year •Greg Jackson (Or Andre Pederneiras) Gym of the Year •Nova Uniao Referee of the Year •Herb Dean (Any of them except for Yamasaki. I don't really care.) Ring Card Girl of the Year •Brittney Palmer (Again, don't really care, but sure.) Leading Man of the Year •Victor Cui (Dana will win this forever, but **** it.) Personality of the Year •Bas Rutten (Bas wins by being Bas.) Best Promotion •ONE FC (Consistently exciting, and on the rise, so why not. UFC will win, though.) Best Lifestyle Clothing Brand •Don't care at all Best Technical Clothing Brand •Don't care at all Best Technical Equipment •Don't care at all MMA Media Source of the Year •MMAjunkie.com MMA Journalist of the Year •Ariel Helwani, MMAFighting.com/FUEL TV
Why is the "comeback of the year" category shared between a man's career and individual fights? That's completely ridiculous, they are two totally different and separate things. :-( Aside from that, too many nominees whose efforts I haven't seen for me to judge my own winners. :hat
Knockout of the Year •Adam Khaliev vs. Alexei Belyaev (League S-70) •Edson Barboza vs. Terry Etim (UFC 142) •Stephen Thompson vs. Dan Stittgen (UFC 143) •Anthony Pettis vs. Joe Lauzon (UFC 144) •Brian Rogers vs. Vitor Vianna (Bellator 61) Will create a poll for posters to vote on the best Knockout of the Year. Haven't attempted a poll before. So if I totally botch it, or it never actually appears, you'll know exactly why
I hope they give Cormier fighter of the year for winning the SF tourney. He would have been a lock if that last SF show hadn't been cancelled.
Tempted to run a poll on >>> Best Lifestyle Clothing Brand •Bad Boy •Dethrone •Headrush •Punishment •TapouT Joking! But might run one on Ring Card Girl of the Year :hey
I would be interested in this pole if "whatever Aoki is wearing" was one of the categories, alas, these awards are UFC biased as ****
