sorry but he lost. scoring is the name of the game and hate it or not, Sugar was outscored 10 rds to 2

Also, he should have had points deducted in rounds 4, & 7 for flagrant fouls

thanks but the REAL hero is the guy who put it together

I knew it might upset some fans who cant accept reality but this had gone way past bed time. It's what the media might term "closure"

Marvin was shot to ****. All the **** he had to agree from SRL for a huge payday and he still won.

yeah, ten to two can you believe it?

I swear I thought the fight was closer but there it is, the definitive proof and the great thing is it can no longer be disupted no matter how your heart might want to scream BULLS*IT!

why do you call him Raymond? The name's "Sugar"!

Yes, I dont dispute Marvin was shot but even shot, won this one handily

Sugar, though the loser, moved on with his career until he was finally silenced by "Mr. Norris"

Not sure one would be enough....perhaps something on the university level where a team could devote themselves to studying a particular disorder would be more beneficial.

Leonard won. Suggesting he only won 2 rounds is asinine. Hagler fought a stupid fight (he often did in big matches, Antuofermo 1, Duran both come to mind). He tried to box with Leonard and gave up his southpaw stance resulting in a decent argument that he lost the first four rounds. A deep hole in a 12 round fight. People who call this fight a robbery because Hagler trudged forward eating punches and while looking mean are clueless. This isnt amateur boxing, you dont score on the number of punches landed (thank god) and Im not even convinced Hagler landed more punches. You also score on effective aggression (Hagler wasnt effective), defense (Leonard had the better defense), and ring generalship (Leonard had the better ring generalship). So the idea that Hagler won this fight on a bogus statistic like punch stats based on watching the film in slow motion is laughable.

I don't see that at all. Even in round one with Marvin not really pushing it much, Ray landed some nice counters to show Marvin as he said that he was going to get respect. Marvin did not fight well and his punchers were not straight as they could have been. When he fought Mugabi it was the same problem. It was inactivity and that seems to have made Marvin's punches more lopping than they were when he was sharp-something Clancy noted with Mugabi. I am not sure he attributed that to inactivity, but obviously that was the case. Inactivity means a lot and Ray knew what he was doing. With Hearns, you can look at the difference and how he landed his punches sharper and cleaner, and he was also active at that time. Also Hearns fought dumb and gave Marvin the range by fighting him. Hearns was the last time he was active. I never liked Ray's opportunistic career Hagler and post. You see a weakness and then say, I want him. If you see decline you want to fight a guy? So the win is over the name not the skill level.

Hearns was at that point exhausted and ready to go. That is why I said, if Hearns would have had 2 rounds of reserve in him where he could jab like he did at the beginning of round 3 and hit Marvin, I think it could have ended in a TKO for in Hearns favor.
Something opened up that cut in round 3 which was the jab of Hearns which was starting to land more. .. Hearns was hitting him with the jab, and Marvin came out righthanded for Hearns in the 3rd which made him more susceptible to it.

    I love both guys.

    It's not painful.

The only things that are painful are your posts.

Nobody on the planet thinks that Marvin won 10-2. And it's not possible considering he gave away the first 3/4 rounds, which is what got Clancy puzzled.

    Enjoy the video.

Whatever makes you sleep at night.
