Yes, although Nunn was faded, he was full of confidence and he was still a big threat. Roy was in a bit of a no-win situation.

After losing the purse bid as well as the Douglas fight falling through, he ended up fighting Hill for twice the amount that the Nunn fight would have paid.

I wish he'd have fought him though. And I still can't believe that the WBC handed his belt back over to him.

Who could have troubled Roy the most?

 

A competant drug tester with integrity.

 

G-Man or a prime Michael Nunn are two standouts for me.. Though I would strongly favor Roy over G-Man if the fight lasted past the 6th.

 

Nunn and McCallum at MW.

Nunn and Liles at SMW.

Obviously lots of guys would have presented him with big problems, but they were the standouts for me.

Good call on McCallum. Prime at MW would be a 50-50 fight against MW Roy IMO.

I think that fight would have been similar to when Roy tried to talk Tito out of fighting Hopkins as both were equally shot... Except I think Roy would have been more apt to go all out and make a statement ending in a KO victory.

 

Harding and Griffin did give Jones some problems.

Tarver always would have been tough. Jones has said as much.
