Finally did research on Roy Jones. He actually did avoid most of the top MW-SMW.

The guy who started this thread is the same clown who compared Andre Wards win over Kessler to Tyson's win over Golata ..Yet we're supposed to take his logic seriously..GTFO YDNSAB!:hi:

Listen twatstick - my English is elite-level. So is my 1337 5p3@k.

The only ****ing fool in this otherwise-excellent thread is you.

You're the exact type of brain washed RoyBoy I'm referring to. Just look at your two questions - ******ed. They don't even deserve an answer :finger.

Funny how you remember that one sentence I wrote as a joke.
I was basically saying that both Calzaghe and Lewis had left overs which Ward and Tyson beat after.
It's true too. It was referring to how Lewis beat Tyson's left over in Ruddock (which I agree with)

It had more to do with Lennox then anything else. I could give a **** about Ward or Calzaghe.

Roy jones was amazing but he does get rated purely on his talent / athletic ability. There are lot of holes in his resume that hurt his ATG standing.

I voted yes in this thread you moron. I'm not a 'RoyBoy'. Doesn't change the ******ed logic of saying that Bhop was not a good win because he was ranked at 11 at the time. He went on to dominate the division, he didn't suddenly become an elite fighter as soon as Roy beat him.

Your clearly a ****ing troll all the same.

I always thought that Jones avoided a lot of the top fighters because he was able to make a crapload of money fighting lesser fighters on HBO. I'm not going to call that "admirable" but I can understand why he did it from a $$ standpoint.

The really weird thing to me is how he became a risk taker and took on much tougher competition after he started getting bounced around like a basketball in 2004. I would have assumed we wouldn't have heard from him again after his first KO loss....I assume he must have spent all of his money on chickens and rappers, or whatever the hell he was into.

James Toney was ranked #1 P4P when Roy Jones humiliated him.

Just curious.. where do you find him ranked #3 and #1 for those respective years? I seem to recall that Jones-Bhop was on an undercard and Gil Clancy commentating the fight and was very hyped about Jones, but was clearly talking about his pro career as still in up and comer status at that point but seeing clearly the great/superstar/megafights in his future
