What does that have to do with anything? I've seen Ward fight like four times now and the guy is a straight-up snoozer. He wrestles, head-butts, throws elbows and forearms, whines to the judge...he does everything except throw punch combinations.

People bitched about Calzaghe fighting in Europe, but at least he left his hometown! Ward's backyard brawls are tired.

People bitched about Hatton's wrestling, but at least he threw punches! Ward seems to have a grudge against using his hands like a boxer.

Ward had guts to take this fight, I'll give him that. And he's got energy and drive to spare. But he's just plain old BORING.

Again ward hugs and holds for 70% of every round and is allowed to get away with it.

Ward refused to fight in tournament unless all his fights are in his home town!

Ward did not allow Bute to fight in tournament. Why? Bute would knock Ward out, but Ward will not fight him. Bute should not allow Ward to push him into fighting in Ward's home town either. Ward cheats.

Technically, by the cards, Ward beat Bika by a wider margin than Bute did.

First of, the 120-108 card was a joke. I had it 116-112, like one of Showtime commentators (don't remember who).

Secondly, if I remember well, Bute lost like the first 3 rds but then he found his distance and cruised towards an easy UD. He won all the next rounds by a big margin, not like Ward, whose ''clear rounds'' were pretty tight.

Thirdly, this was in 2007, Bute has improved a lot from then on and would knock the **** out of him nowadays.

You're right, but I think that says more about how impossible it is to win on points in Oakland vs Ward than anything else. It's about as hard as beating Ottke in Germany at this point.
