    Legend.

One of my fav fighters. Shame injury over the last 7-8 years meant he never cemented his name as a top heavyweight.

A prime haye would have been an excellent addition to the current crop of Joshua, wilder, Parker, Whyte etc.

Oh well. Yes he's a smug git and rather cheesy and egotistical but what a fighter he was.

Sure we shall see the smug get all over our TV for many years as a promoter/pundit.

Spinal surgery in 2015...no wonder his footwork has been so terrible...

Yet he sails off into the sunset with 2 very large bags of loot fleeced from the PPV mugs following 5 mins of acting and claiming he was 100%.

The legacy of David Haye is simply known as 'The Conning Toe'

I hope his promotional work gets him enough money, so he doesn't have to fight in the ring again

Was never an elite heavyweight. Never beat a top heavyweight. Now p4p was as good as top heavyweights but would have lost to them because of size disadvantage. Outstanding Cruiserweight though.

    An egotistical conman.

However he was a good fighter and played his part.

    All the best in retirement.

Heart removal surgery on to top of the spinal, it's no wonder he wanted no part of the top Heavyweights.

I know he soured his reputation and image over the years but I wish him all the best, he entertained me at certain points and that's what it's all about from a boxing fans point of view.

He was a great character for the sport, I agree. Inside the ring however, he was a charlatan.

Enough money?! He’s just made about 10 million. He needs to pack that promotional charade on its arse too. Do the right thing and release Joe Joyce.

Maybe just do some training instead.

He absolutely disappointed me in the Heavyweight Division after winning the title against Andre The Giant with one punch thrown in the fight running like a fanny all night.

Defending against Fraudley on PPV was outrageous followed by a weak defence against a shot John Ruiz.

The worst con before Bellew was the Clit fight where he promised a KO and never even attempted to go for the win when losing every round on points. The Toe was born and the rest is history.

A good KO against plodding pudding Chisora then we don't forget his cancelled fights with Fury then retirement.

Out of retirement, he seen the easy PPV money and his 2 fights on the Dave Channel while wearing a giant nappy will be long lasting memories.

Then 2 mins scripted acting at a Bellew fight reels in the PPV mugs. Even worse the same PPV mugs fall for it again in the rematch. I am fully fit declares Haye as he promises another knockout similar to the first fight and the Clit fight.

The long last memory and legacy of David Haye is the 'Conning Toe' wearing a huge giant nappy.
