The Mexican Super Flyweight announced that he is back on September 2025 ! Jonathan "Titan" Rodriguez 25-2-1 (17KOs) is the former world IBF challenger at 115 lbs (Super Flyweight).

Some people saw his defeat at the time against Jerwin Ancajas as quite controversial on the scorecards. Nevertheless, he beat Julian Yedras "El Nino Artillero" a former WBO world title challenger at 105 lbs by KO, Felipe Orucuta a two-time former WBO world title challenger at 115 lbs by TKO, the solid Mexican journeyman Juan Ramirez Marquez, and fought to a draw against Israel Gonzalez in a fight he should normally have won.

Along with Pedro Guevara, I think he is currently better than all his Mexican compatriots in the Super Flyweight division (115 lbs).

A year ago, he was supposed to face Kosei Tanaka for the WBO title at 115 lbs, but the Mexican’s weight issues caused the fight to be cancelled. In the meantime, Kosei Tanaka lost his belt to Phumelela Cafu, which meant that this super fight never took place.
