    115-112 Golovkin.

    Couple of points though.
    • Golovkin knicked rounds 1 and 2 with a more consistent jab and a single body shot in round 2 that made a difference. Those rounds were THAT close.
    • Jacobs was the aggressor. Golovkin was moving forward more but Jacobs appeared to throw more punches and initiate more action. Golovkin was more economical.
    • A lot of Jacobs punches were near misses or deflected.

I am a man of my word and have no issue with admitting wrong. Golovkin won an extremely competitive fight with the first 3 rounds being the difference since the first two could have been given to Jacobs.

    Well said.

I had it 114-113 Golovkin on re-watching (Jacobs by 1 pt on the night), I guess the difference is probably that I gave Jacobs Round 2. Good, close fight though, and I agree that the decision was correct.

Golovkin slipped a lot of punches I thought landed initially. He did so much subtle things that are easy to miss live.

Same score as I had, was a good competitive fight. Jacobs proved he is a great fighter.

I emphasize on defense, Jacobs did better in that department, 114-113.

Defense has to be considered first, even above clean punching/damage imo.

Defense has to be considered first, that's the most important criteria in the sport of boxing. It is what it is!!

    Lol I know you

I disagree. Golovkin had very good defense, better than Jacobs that night. He kept his hands up, used head movement but just enough necessary. He evaded but was always in position to throw back. I think you missed the little things he did so well.

I rewatched it, didn't do too many things that well.

I even watched it at 0.5x speed, Jacobs edged it. 114-113.

I don't know. People tend to score different. I gave the second round to Jacobs. I first had G winning by 3 live. Jacobs winning by 1 point the second viewing. I have it a draw the third viewing. I go by minutes trying to keep scoring criteria in mind. Anyhow here's my current score.

    Jacobs G
    =========================
    Round 1: 9 10
    Round 2: 19 19
    Round 3: 28 29
    Round 4: 36 39
    Round 5: 45 49
    Round 6: 55 58
    Round 7: 65 67
    Round 8: 74 77
    Round 9: 83 87
    Round 10: 93 96
    Round 11: 103 105
    Round 12: 113 113

I will rewatch again. I know I need to further inspect rounds 11 and 12 but I'm confident in the rest of my rounds.

Not bad, I had Jacobs ahead by 1, as did many others.

    Fair.

I had it 114-113 Jacobs. I thought he won the fight, and I rewatched it 3 times and nothing has changed. I think the majority scored the fight either 7-5 to jacobs or 6-6 in rounds both resulting in 114-113 cards going either way. I haven't really seen many 7-5 scores towards GGG, but there are some. It just depends what you like better when scoring fights.

GGG jabs win him the rounds. They are hard and clean. Jacob did well but I think the score of 115-112 or 114-113 for GGG is fair. If you give most of the first 3 or 12 rounds to Jacob, 114-113 for Jacob win is reasonable.

I can see that you're extremely mad.

Defense has to be the #1 priority, and it's a shame some judges don't see it that way. Too bad.

I thought I was on ignore? LOL. What a baby you are.

Go msg some more mods to have me banned! LOL
