    1- cotto
    2- close- canelo
    3- close- cotto
    4- cotto
    5- close- canelo
    6- close- canelo
    7- canelo
    8- canelo
    9- close- canelo
    10- canelo
    11- close- canelo
    12- close- canelo

Lots of close rounds in wich cotto does good work but canelo seems to steal the round with a single good shot

First half they were fighting on even terms but it seems cotto ran out of steam the second half. There was no domination or schooling

so canelo was instucted to make just a single good shot per round to justify it. not a challenger mentality to get the belt with his best effort but just make a good punch per round and employing his best defense to last the 12 rounds.

It was close. Cotto still has it. He could probably still beat most middleweights not named GGG. Looked sharper than he has in yrs.

I had it 9-3. It was a Canelo night, Canelo crowd, he was guna take the close rounds. Cotto and Roach gambled on Alverez tiring so Cotto came in light and looked more mobile than ive seen him for years, but Alverez kept a good tempo.

It was competitive throughout but Canelo was nicking the rounds and Cotto didnt seem to have enough pop at this weight to really make Canelo worry. Its a shame that Cotto was there all the way but lost so widely but its scored on every round not a guestimate at the end of how it went all in all.

Well there you go, you scored it 117-111. That's along the lines of the judges.

Canelo wasn't stealing rounds with single shots or even work in the closing seconds. His attack during the rounds was consistent and his shots were more of the power variety where as Cotto's connects were mostly consisted of the jab.

I had it 117-111. Cotto ran around the ring and got tagged by hard shots all night. Easy fight to score honestly

I'll rescore this fight in the weekend. Will be interesting (without HBO commentary or any for that matter...ok maybe Russian commentary is fine because I don't understand it and they sound drony lol).

Just scored it 10-2 for Canelo. I could see how some can give Cotto 4 rounds, but Cotto was too busy playing safe than to commit to his punches.

Very unlike Cotto. Yet Canelo fought his fight.

Somebody needs to put their foot down and not allow Canelo to keep fighting little guys at 155 and then weigh 175 on fight night. He might end up hurting somebody real bad soon.

I think Canelo wasn't punching with full force especially in the late rounds. Cotto did have his chin tucked but he took a lot of shots to the side of his head. That guy will be punch drunk one day.

What little guys has Canelo been fighting at the weight?

The last smaller guy Canelo fought that he brought up from Welterweight was Josesito Lopez and that was back over 3 years ago.
