Finally saw the HBO Don King movie. How much of it is accurate?

I know it might seem crazy that big, bald Ving Rhames plays King, but he does it and does it well. Check it out, you might like it.

 

Of course, the book is detailed in comparison. Its a fantastic read to be honest.

i got that movie on vhs, its very accurate.dk was a hustler plain and simple.he used that hustler mentallity in his boxing promotion.he ripped off alot of fighters and made them millions at the same time.he did alot of illgal **** he had ties with the mob and he was a damn good promoter.

Good lord. OF course King is a "criminal scumbag." Haven't you been following boxing and followed how this parasite has ripped off fighter after fighter over the last 30 years? I suspect, if anything, that HBO probably took it easy on this rip-off artist to avoid lawsuits.

 

If you really want to know what a scumbag King is read "The Life And Crimes Of Don King" by Jack Newfield. King threatened to have Newfield killed after the book came out. King is a disgusting human and I can't believe people on here praise him so much.

Larry Holmes just came out and said a month ago that King shorted him 40% of his purses that were in the contract.

Plus King has not put together a good fight card in ages.

 

Awesome HBO flick..... It was pretty accurate........ IMO!!! Don King was a hustler, con artist & brilliant.... I have the film on video.....
