I was going by a Klitschko fight but I saw that fight it was worth forgetting. Neither guy came to fight. It was on Taylor Spinks level

I already said Iggy Wlad sucked. And I did not bother watching Holyfield Valuev. The fight was better than thos fights Vitali put out a nice out put though a little off form. Had Johnson fought to win the fight would have been very good. I guess that is where I go with most of the Klitschko fights if the opponents actually went for it the fights would be great. Everybody in the run up says Wlad has no chin I'll just KO him and Vitli is old I'll beat him. Yet they show up with no game plan riding on a punch. I was not entertained by this fight I do think it was a little more interesting though I wish Vitali would have got him out of there kind of a blemish. He had only one decision and that was to a guy with a pretty good chin. Kinda sucks this guy goes 12.

As a big Klitschko fan, I was disappointed by the performance.

    - Vitali failed to land heavy shots, esp. didn't try an uppercut or hook when KJ was ducking
    - Johnson's defense was very solid, but a major obstacle for the champion
    - Vitali was hit time and again by the jab- featherfisted or not, it was a fast jab
    - his output of punches today lacks the power to rock peaople like Arreola or Johnson.

I think, Haye will give VK much more trouble than KJ. He is faster, cracks a better punch, and actually is all around better than Johnson. His chin may be worse, though. Let's hope the fight will happen next year.

Nice analysis. I also noticed he didn't work the body enough. He could have smashed Johnson's midriff and slowed him down for a late TKO but he seemed to focused on head hunting, even when he kept missing. I can imagine a more rounded fighter mixing his attacks up and showing greater dexterity.

Completely agree. Haye is by far the quickest Heavyweight, he is also arguably the hardest puncher in the Heavyweight Division. He after all has blasted the majority of his opponents out of there and is the only fighter ever to have wobbled Valuev nearly knocking him out in the process.

Vitali is too old, too cumbersome and far too slow to deal with Haye. He will get knocked out. As for Wlad, well Haye will go to town on him.

All these people saying Haye ducked the Klits are full of hot air.

Haye has ducked no one in his entire career.

All the heavyweight belts are coming home in 2010.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it :hat

I assure you 80% of the ******s that claimed they saw it but was boring and all that here didn't even see it or used an online **** poor quality stream. The fight wasn't exciting at all, I can't deny that, it was boring and almost imitated Wladimir/Ibragimov. However, their were some exciting moments like when Johnson landed on Vitali and seemed to bust him up for a few. As usual Vitali came to fight, Johnson didn't want to be there like Ibragimov didn't want to be there either. Johnson stuck out his tongue and did the most ******ed showboating I have ever seen.

He's better off trying to become president and I assure you with the way things are today his chances are very high. That kind of taunting, tongue action, clowning and posing are the qualities needed for that spot, wish him the best of luck though he won't need it.

The first phrase is an exaggeration. "Time and time again", he had some moments mainly in the 7th and 8th rounds. Mate he was the challenger, he did near to nothing for the most part, his overall workrate was shockingly low. Also, I find it amusing people speculate about what haye would do to Klitschko given haye has a habit of weaseling out of KLitschko fights. Johnson survived cos he was in survival mode only, its surprising how people see more into it than there was.

I didn't think the fight was nearly as bad as the 'rnd by rnd' on here led me to believe. True that KJ had no interest of fighting back and Vitali could not knock him out it was still a DOMINATING victory by Vitali. Hard to look good against an opponent who fights like Curly from the three stooges.

Did you watch it low res on youtube?

Vitali clearly out-jabbed him. Good counter jabs as well that landed clean. Johnson pumped the jab but either missed or barely touched him with it.

The fight was 100% **** and there's no point in me offering an opinion.
