I was really not at all impressed with Jennings, he has pretty good footwork for a big man, I'll say a decent chin (although Wlad didn't really test it all that much) and some decent speed. But skillwise he's really quite average.

I really underestimated Jennings. He still isn't the most talented guy out there but he's in shape and fought a smart fight. He did a lot of clever things that bothered Wlad.

Jennings showed more head movement than I've seen him sue before, he really took away Wlad's jab for long stretches of the fight with a combination of head movement and his usual high guard.

In the clinches Jennings didn't just allow himself to be dominated. When clinched he always worked the body. They may have been light shots most of the time but even these taps have an accumulative effect. As soon as Wlad clinched him he drove his head into Wlad's throat giving him the small space he needed to work on the inside. He never made it comfortable for Wlad inside and in doing so never allowed Wlad to control the pace of the fight.

Jennngs reach also posed a lot of issues for Wlad. Wlad's is used to being out of reach but Jennings was often able to reach him and actually get off first to the body a lot of the time. Getting off first is always going to effective against a jab and grabber.

His movement was also far better than I've seen before. He always seemed a bit of a plodder before. But he moved well and didn't just attack he mixed it up and made himself less predictable.

I was very impressed with Jennings, he would give Wilder real problems and I'd love to see him with other top guys like Fury and Povetkin. Jennings may have lost but I think he can be a threat to anyone. I would even be interested in a rematch with Wlad.

Wilder will have problems with Jennings' reach.
Jennings will be cautious with Wilder's power.
A safety first, unspectacular fight to go to the scorecards.
