Is it just me or is the tide turning a bit for Joe for certain posters?there's still alot of people who will dis him whatever but he seems to have impressed some with his performance ,which while against a clearly past prime jones jnr , still showed enough to suggest dismissive comments like " calslappy " and cherry-picker were wide of the mark and that he is indeed a special fighter.

its refreshing to see, props to people who can change their opinion.

Yeah, honestly the fact that he is actually serious about fighting Dawson made me respect him even more. The man aint a cherry picker like you know who. :yep

Still think he is overrated and would have got his ass handed to him by both Bernard and Roy in their Primes ! FUNNY: They both had him on his ASS in the opening round ! :yep SAD: They were both to OLD to keep him down ! :verysad

some people take getting up after a knock down and winning as a bad thing. me personally, i think its a sign of greatness.

Joe wasn't hurt by the Hopkins KD. A prime Hopkins wouldn't have been able to finish him of in my opinion. Roy is a different matter. Calzaghe was hurt by the Roy KD and a prime Roy would have jumped all over him. Joe does have great powers of recovery so i believe he could have weathered the storm but it would be close. If Joe got up and brawled like he did against Mitchell after that KD then Roy would have definetly knocked him down again.

I think there are 3 types of people on ESB: Calzaghe nuthuggers, Calzaghe haters and rational people.

yeah it's true some people might.. but I'm not one of them.. ! I respect people who can rise and conquer! I just think it's sad to see someone Like Roy Jones or Bernard Hopkins get beaten up by some guy I am 100% sure they both could've beat easily in their primes.. same goes with Holyfield, Tyson, Toney, Ali.. And Everyone else who fights way past their primes and loses to some guys they would've stopped EASILY.. ! Tyson lost to Danny williams God damn it ! does that make this polish guy (sosnowki ?) a better fighter than Tyson :huh

no it doesn't. but what that has to do with anything is beyond me.
hopkins clearly isn't past it anyway, did he not just take the future of white american boxing and spit it all over the ring.
i'm not getting into an argument, my point was joe seems to have won some people over, good for them. the rest of you who are still blind to his talent , well you're not worth bothering with.
