It sure does increase the intrigue that there is some intelligence to what he wants to do.

I think I got a lot of confidence in him at this point...He does look in good shape (look at the definition of his arms, shoulders, back, and the lack of the huge gut). He seems pretty relaxed, and confident as well, and trained for most situations.
I'm confident if Randy does grab him, and bring him down that he's going to take a few punches in the process. I'd say they'd finish him, but if they wouldn't, and Toney does get on his back that'd be about it IMO, but Toney is no weak man obviously. Maybe it'd even be a decent scrap on the ground.

Toney has always been very intelligent fighter inside the ropes. The problem for Couture is he will have to eat countershots in order to do his thing. I think Toney will ko him with a left kook to the body.

Toney knows more than he's let on, judging from this vid.

His upper body looks to be in really good shape. We'll see about his stomach. He'll never be ripped again but that does not mean he is not in top shape. I actually think James has a good shot at catching Randy. Randy's chin has faded it would seem. Randy needs to shoot in and take him down fast. Standing at all even with his dirty boxing is a recipe for disaster. James is one the ATG counter punchers and Randy should not take any chances.

Randy didn't like that knee to the body against Vera. Intrigued to see Toney dig him down there. I hope Toney has been grappling everyday but even then, VERY few have been able to handle Randys grappling on the ground. Liddell, Coleman etc are accomplished grapplers. Even guys like Tim Sylvia know what they are doing. I hope Toney follows the Chuck Liddell gameplan because that really is the way for the striker to out time and out range Couture non stop.

This may be a good scrap after all, from what we can see Toney looks strong and going by what he wa saying about the clinching up against the cage he's been doing his homework. I just hope for his sake he's not just counting on catching Randy when he goes for a shot and has been working on getting to his feet from the ground.

even if toney knew half as much as me he still would have no chance, im still looking forward to see how randy fights with a lethal striker standing near him

If he doesn't do it in the first 30 secs, it's over for him.

He looks like he's working on making it his fight and preparing for different situations. I think it will be more competitive than people think.
