Finally Watched Bruce Curry-Monroe Brooks For the First Time

That one is fun. The left hook that ends it makes you literally cringe. My only complaint with it is that both guys spent too much time loading up with virtually every shot. You could tell they hated each other.

 

I remember reading in the Ft. Worth paper all the buildup to the Curry-Brooks fight...and yes there was real bad blood between them. I think the fight came on late at nite from Los Angeles.

There were a lot of real good Jr. welterweights & welterweights around in the mid to late seventies and they fought each other in kinda of a round robin.

Curry had a couple of fights with Wilfred Benitiz and Brooks fought Duran in New York.
