I don't know why people get so up in arms over the decision. Could have gone either way. DLH outboxed Mosley for the first 6 rounds, but a couple of those rounds were close, and I gave one to Mosley. Mosley came on after that and, even though DLH was still outboxing him at times, Mosley started to land some seriously damaging shots. I felt Mosley won most of the final six rounds. DLH might have won 1 or 2 more rounds, but Mosley did more damage and staggered Hoya several times throughout the fight. I have no strong opinion one way or the either, whether you think DLH or SSM won, it was a close fight. Best moment: when Mosley gets he mouthpiece knocked out by a great uppercut, but still goes balls-out for the rest of the round. That was sweet. Not as exciting as their first bout, but pretty good. On a related note: I have no idea how their first fight was an SD, I thought Mosley took that one decisively.
I actually thought this was one of DLH's best performances., and had him winning clearly. Mosley did not look good that night. He did not look like himself at all. (Maybe the Juice.....)
I didn't see it as being close at all. It's been a while since I've seen it but I had De La Hoya the clear winner in that fight. **** this topic always gets me going! **** Mosley!:fire Even on roids he still didn't do enough to edge out Oscar... and it told on his face afterwards, he knew he'd lost.:deal
In all fairness I think De La Hoya deserved that fight. He outboxed Mosley for the majority of the fight and while he got caught flush he still should've got the nod.
Mosley clearly lost when he gave up 13 mills to fight Hoya again and took 3 mills to fight Wright. That was the dumbest move in boxing, even a chimpanzee can figure that one out. Three bananas or thirteen bananas.
yeah that **** was almost as cool as the Em v pac south paw in the 12th ****. Just asking to get his jaw broken.
But in exchange he gave Wright the chance of his life, career and some good fights after. That was worth the 13 M, in my opinion.
