I think as the fight wore on, it was evident that GGG was tiring massively. Murray has been 12 round many times so it could have been an interesting last round. GGG was on top and on the front foot all fight but I definitely think GGG was more panicked that he made out.
:rofl For the record, I think Gerard Depardieu is awesome as an actor. All the fringe knowledge you seem to have gathered about him, is of no concern to me.
So did Cotto and he doesn't even belong at 160. GGG could stay 160 just the same way Pac and Floyd could've just hung around 135-140. Both Pac and Floyd jumped up to 147 and they were both the smaller man, Mayweather even jumped to 154 - he had no right being there. GGG is good, great even at 160, but he is just one of handful of very good fighters that are great in a division with no challenges. I don't take Golovkin all that serious anymore, I know he is good - hell I know he is great, but he won't legitimately be 'great' until he steps up and division and takes challenges at 168.
What if he unifies the division and reigns it until he is 40 averaging 3-4 title defenses a year? Not that I think it will go that way, but that would be pretty great in my book.
GGG:" You know I leave open. I told him come on lets fight I need fight. Lets go".. There's your answer LOL GGG opted to leave himself open cause he can take Murray's best shot. Don't make it look like his defense is $h|t.
in maybe the 8th round there was a brief period where ggg completely dropped his guard and presented his head directly in front of murray. the latter threw 3 shots, which ggg avoided with minimal movement and effort, as if to demoralize murray by showing he could easily avoid murray's punches, but it wasn't worth it.
Guess who Murray hit more than GGG? Sturm Martinez The rest of his resume Why don't we have a conversation about the shoddy defense of everyone thats ever fought Murray?
The commentators said GGG looked tired going into the 10th...am I the only person who really didn't see that at all? He was throwing as much in the 11th as the rest of the fight
My thoughts exactly. He looked much more lethargic, less powerful (probably due to Murray though), and only slightly more skilled than Murray. Definitely the better fighter, but if Murray had more pop in his punches, the fight would have been closer IMO.
well actually I saw the Murray fight and I looked at it and I thought to myself "I could see Kessler using this same strategy, but with my power"
It's funny how people keep mentioning "if a guy with power" did this and that, then it would've been this or that kind of fight, assuming that Golovkin would fight the EXACT same way. It seems like wishful thinking on your guys' part that he can only fight one way in hopes that you can think of someone or someway to beat him.
