11am today at Star City the Green Briggs fight will be announced. Briggs and Green will both stay at the casino and train in Sydney leading up to the fight. Briggs will be sparring with a fenech trained fighter

yeah I saw that took me 3 mins to start the computer up. I saw your post at 8.59 and thought what time did i post and then saw 9.01 and thought **** leon beat me by 2. If my computer had been on i would have been a chance. I will take solace in the fact I actually mentioned what the announcement was. But it is Leon 1 Cedric 0

this is a bit of a joke fight.. purely because of the layoff and medical issues Briggs has had.

Prime for Prime, Briggs wins. But with the layoff, I dont think he can hang with Danny.

Saying that, Danny hasnt really been tested in the own "comeback". A total of 11 rounds. 1 round with RJJ, 3 with Siaca, 2 with Van KneeJerk and 5 with Dominguez..

Not a hard slog... Especially now fighting someone with Briggs chin and heart.

I'll be cheering for Briggs, but am sceptical. I just hope he doesnt get hurt.

I'm quite interested in this fight actually, as long as Briggsy's in shape for it and is capable - it's a shame we won't get to see him in action before facing Green to gauge where he's at, but I still think it will be a good spectacle and I'll be watching it for sure.

It's a fight I would have loved to see 5 years ago, but better late then never.

I don't see Briggs beating Green at this stage. It's obvious he's just coming out of retirement for a good payday.

Green wide points or late stoppage imo. Prime 4 prime it would be Briggs winning though.

I would like to know if Briggs will continue to fight after the Green contest or is he going to retire again.

In their primes it's a 50/50 fight IMO, and had it occurred 5 years ago would have made for an awesome trilogy.

Someone here please tell me. Briggs retired because of medical problems. I couldnt be bothered looking for the aricles online but they had quotes from Briggs explaining the problems.

    Things he said:

I was standing in line at the post office and I would just fall over and stumble for no reason as if I were drunk.

Johnny Lewis called of sparring sessions mid way thru because I would be standing in the middle of the ring punching and my opponent would be at the other side of the ring just staring at me.

I think he said he had bad nerve damage.

I want to know were all these problem are now? I know he has had a long break from fighting and training but these were not the sort of problems that just go away. Is Paul Briggs safe? Can he even be licenced? Will he pass the medical?

Cant tell me Im the only one asking these questions.

I think you will find that Pauls time out of the ring has got him abck to 100% so it will be all go come fight night. I will have a little view of both of there trainings so will let you know how they are going prior to the fight

I sure as hell aint no doctor but from what i understand he had a problem with his adrenilin gland which was affecting his nervous system which affected almost every part of his body he couldn't see well and was having dizzy spells.
After being on medication and resting up Paul no longer has any of the problems that enforced his retirement and is 100% healthy.
I know a couple of months ago when they were considering the fight the first thing ****** obtained from Paul was a medical report from independent doctor which gave him the all clear.

Not that I knew the details, but this is how I saw it. :good

People fall ill all the time and don't know what it is for some time. They get fixed, and can then be 100% again.

It's pretty basic stuff, I mean don't any of you ****s watch House? :hey
