    India has 1 billion people but is not known for winning gold medals in the Olympics. Then again the average man there is just 5'5" tall ( Rural India even smaller at 5'3" ) , so most sports that feature power are not an option.

    But boxing has weight classes. I think one day India could medal in Boxing.

    I think some of the Sikh population could be decent enough at the regional level.
