Find somewhere else to train or wait it out?

Basically i'm 17 years old and looking to get into boxing if I can when i'm older. After Friday, my gym is closing down and moving elsewhere for 3-5 months before moving again so they can ultimately get bigger and improve the facillities. The problem is that during the 3-5 months, they can only offer MMA related training such as BJJ. So, for the 3-5 months what would ESB recommend I do, should I keep myself in training at home which I feel more than capable of doing or should I try and find somewhere else to train for the time being? I'll 100% be going back when they reopen as it's a great place, great coach and a great group of lads there but I just wondered what the rest of ESB would recommend, stay at home or find somewhere for the 3-5 months?

If they have punch mitts, heavy bags, speed bags, and a place to skip rope, then keep going and just practice boxing.

If they are going to force you to do the advanced dry humping...uh, I mean MMA then find somewhere else to train.

I say try the MMA classes. Who knows it might even become a new interest for you.

find somewhere else to train for the few months, few months no training willl set you back a lot, the BJJ is pointless if you want to box, mma would have been more suited similar training but BJJ is a sport based a lot on static strenght and holds, i train bjj and feel it is not in any way helpful for me, boxing is more explosive snapping movements bjj is grappling on the ground good fun but that static strenght is not a fitness component essential in boxing, find another gym to trainn there are plenty of clubs in london yu can choose from

I agree with JLH. If there is a heavy bag, pads, somewhere to skip rope and shadow box keep going to your gym and train boxing there. Even try a mma class it couldnt do any harm.. Boxing is a part of mma, so grab one of the mma dudes and do some drills with him or some sparring.

Been looking around and I've seen somewhere close to my old gym that seems decent, apparently Carl Froch and David Haye have trained there before so i'll try and have a look at the place soon.

I wouldn't mind doing MMA as i'm a big fan of that aswell however I feel like if i'm trying to become a boxer then I should probably stick to that lol

Turns out they're not moving anymore :)

Think i'll join an ABC around my way aswell so I can train more though.
