Im looking to start boxing again, boxed once before but was stitched up with the opponent, im struggling to find fights in my local area does anyone know how to find fights/promoters that would be willing to let me fight, not interested in making loads of money from it it's just something I enjoy.

Find a gym and ask the owner if he could find some fights for you, that might work?

Im with a gym at the minute but there's a couple of pros there so there more interested in working with them, when i've asked iv'e just been told to look on the internet and in the local paper but cannot find anything, the promoter I boxed for before has packed in to run a football team, and theres not too many gyms in the area

You need a coach who will pay attention to you...and subsequently get you fights. Mansfield, Ohio? I'm sure there are plenty of fights close to you in Cincy or Cleveland, et cetera.
