[ Good Lord. Wilder was ORDERED/MANDATED to give Fury a rematch or he'd be stripped. Wilder was ORDERED to give Fury a better split than he'd give to a normal mandatory contender. If Wilder didn't do these things, he'd be stripped. So Wilder team negotiated these with Fury's team, and Fury's team ran. So the WBC ORDERED Wilder to fight Breazeale. Why are you arguing this? THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Wilder is the WBC champ. They can order him to fight someone, and if he doesn't, he's stripped. So he does.
Special bout santion can you read Dubblechin . Remember when AJ volunteered to face Povetkin in his voluntary fight meaning AJ choose to fight him and the WBA and WBO both said in doing so you are fulfilling your mandatory . Now with the WBC and Fury , Fury was a voluntary fight that Wilder took , in ended in a controversial draw which many said Fury won . WBC ordered a rematch because of legitimacy over their title hence why Fury is not punished by the WBC since he was the voluntary fighter for Wilder and not then or now , the mandatory fighter (Breazeale) the WBC pushed this but to avail since a deal could not be reached . Now if Fury was the WBC Silver or mandatory challenger for a fight he would be bumped off the WBC rankings wouldn't he ? Since he has not because he holds 3rd place for no reason really they cannot do much about it .
Yes your correct but your not adding this up . Wilder agreed to this which is why he is not stripped so Wilder did no wrong your right . But neither did Fury otherwise he'd be off the WBC rankings list , since he was not the mandatory Breazeale was then and still is now they cannot punish Fury for this . YOU CANNOT FORCE SOMEONE IN THE RING IF THEY DON'T WANT TOO . It's boxing not a press gang slave auction Dubblechin .
No. Section 3.11 of the WBC rules. Immediate Rematch Policy If the WBC determines that an immediate rematch is appropriate pursuant to this preceding rule, it may order the rematch as a mandatory bout, permit a requested rematch as a voluntary bout, or sanction the bout as a special bout under Rule 3.8. If the WBC orders such a rematch, it may also rule the winner of the immediate rematch comply with mandatory defense obligations existing at the time of the original contest, or may grant the winner one or more optional defenses prior to fulfilling any mandatory obligations
They can punish anyone they want for jerking them around after petitioning them for a rematch. Just because Fury hasn't dropped yet doesn't mean he won't the next time they (the WBC) meet.
Was Breazeale stripped of the mandatory ? No , otherwise Breazeale can file a lawsuit . Actually read what it says Dubblechin . You cannot have two mandatory boxers at the same time . They mandated Fury rematch which is different to being a mandatory fighter . Just because the WBC wants it does not mean they will get it . They have not punished Fury for this because they cannot since Fury was never the mandatory fighter .
To the WBC's credit they are actually trying to save Wilder by this but even they cannot do much about it . This is all because Wilder thought he could rinse Fury in Fury's current state and get a cheap victory with a name . The writing was on the wall the second Wilder said Ortiz is and will always be his hardest fight , he said this 2 weeks before the Fury fight which really shows you how naive Wilder is . He never took Fury seriously and embarrassed himself . Look at Wilder's face after the fight , head down , shocked and clearly upset by himself . Now Fury says to a rematch "Nah!" lol . He has blemished the WBC title and Wilder's status and everyone knows it . When in fact Fury was the one robbed . Wonder why WBC do not punish Fury ? Wilder is on thin ice like Ortiz in HW boxing . Heaven forbid if Breazeale gets a draw or goes the distance .
Yeah..."imagine", Imagine the one or two people who may post something, it's a travesty...heart breaking that you guys have to endure a differing perspective.
if Joshua had the WBC and Wilder had the 4 belts it would be Joshua only has one belt and Wilder had 4 as the way this U.S media runs. Anyone who disagrees is either oblivious or new to boxing. There's a few on here still....@Facts
