Finnish Butterbean is this chap: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=499264&cat=boxer 8 rounds for the Baltic Boxing Union title on September 8. Danny is Latvian now after all
What was it that held Danny back in his career? He just never got it right did he? PS check the scoring in the Finnish Butterbean's draw.
They should do what they do with non German fighters out in Germany with the name changes, the likes of Abraham, Sturm etc. Please welcome Daniewz Wilhemski.
He used to get VERY nervous before fights, used to throw up in the dressing room etc. The scoring in that fight is ridiculous The Latvian judge scored it 80-73 to the Latvian fighter while the other judges scored it a draw (78-78, the ****?:blood) and 79-74 to Butterbean, no hint of bias there On a side note, look at the venue for most of Butterbean's fights. Sad that Danny has been reduced to this. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFFREXroK3I[/ame]
Actually Danny has a big possibility to gain a victory in this match because Janne Katajisto is nothing special. Katajisto has good hand speed, but he is nothing big puncher. Williams is much bigger than Finnish boxer. I feel that Williams will even TKO him.
He has one draw and no losses the scorecards for his draw...... judge: Simo Halmevuo 79-74 | judge: Jevgenijs Stamburskis 73-80 | judge: Tommi Jylha 78-78 That's crazy
Once again Danny may be fighting the officials as well as the opponent. Probably may need a knock out.
Actually Caramelito Promotions is known in Finland that there also the abroad boxer can win. They use Baltic League of Professional Boxing officials and these judges are way more fair than Finnish Boxing Commission ones! For example check following shows: http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=636335 (Trizno victory over undefeated Selesmaa) http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=615311 (Sedlins victory over Puumalainen) http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=631769 (Kurakins victory over Sjomkin) just for some to pick up as an example... I feel pretty good for Danny in this one!
I don't know. Danny is hideously shot, although it's quite obvious that Katajisto isn't very good. If Katajisto doesn't have much power, and can't take a big shot well, Danny has a chance. But I still feel that he's so far past his best you would have to have Katajisto as the favourite. Throwing a high volume of shots should be enough for him to win.
That 80-73 card in favour of Dolgovs against Katajisto looks very dodgy, especially as Dolgovs has been beaten easily by anyone half-decent he's faced. I reckon rather than being fair they are just biased towards Latvian journeymen considering they are based in Latvia.
Stamburskis is a journeyman boxer himself who has fought the likes of Rogan, Dallas and Perez - it wouldn't surprise me if he was a personal friend of Dolgovs as they are both Latvian and fight in the same division, maybe that explains the card. The 78-78 card is also bizarre - 4 even rounds in an 8 rounder?
Danny wants to finish his career on a win and with a belt, he shld win this comfortably and then hopefully hang 'em up for good. He's invested his big paydays wisely by all accounts and has a future planned working as a bodyguard. He's earned the right to leave the sport on his own terms...
