I remember just a few years ago Alekseev was being hailed as a future P4P star and the next dominant force at Cruiser. Fast forward to 2012 and he's been crushed by two pressure fighters, including a nasty one punch knockout loss. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Arslan has been stopped twice, but they occurred at the very ass end of fights after prolonged ass kickings. He's a teak tough guy, to say the least. Some feel he's improved as of late, even though he's an older fighter. Alekseev also has some seriously fragile skin, dude marks up easy So, thoughts?
Arslan if hes on his game tonight wont let the russian breath for a second! Alekseev has good power but arslan is really tough to knock out! I think alekseev will struggle big time by the 8th round!
I thought alekseev looked very good in beating enad licina but here is the but! Arslan will put much more pressure than licina or even ramirez who gave alekseev the first loss! technically the russian is brilliant and much better than arslan! But how do they say! Pressure bust pipes
hmm, I see Alekseev rather getting the decision because he's the better boxer, even if the fight's in Arslan's hometown I hope Arslan comes into the fight in the same shape as against Guillermo Jones, even though he got stopped late then (that was one good fight :bbb) if he does we might see an upset :good
I admit i was one of those poeple who expected him to become a dominant force at CW. Still a big fan and will always be rooting for him. I love southpaw bodypunchers Jirov, Alekseev, Lebedev, Chakhkiev, and Ukrainian Usyk after the Olympics. Against Ramirez he had only been 7 rds once got exhausted started eating alot of big shots and his corner threw in the towel. He didnt show any chin problems in that one he took all the shots he just gassed. Against LEbedev he got hit by a very good puncher on the temple and was out cold as soon as the punch landed, tried getting up but just didnt have the legs. He doesnt have chin problems imo. His biggest shortcoming was his inside game but it looks like he's been working hard on that and it shows. I was impressed against Licina where he fought almost the whole fight on the inside, beat Enad at his own game and really beat him up, worse than Hernandez or Cunningham. His inside game looked very good and he looked comfortable there. I really think he was trying to prove it to himself and passed the test. I'm rooting for him bigtime and it's a must win for him. He's 3 in the WBO and i could see Huck being willing to fight him thinking its a good matchup for him (how the **** is Flores #2 hes done nothing?) Wlodarczyk would be the easiest route to a belt for him but i think he's rematching Palacios next.
