Alexeev presses forward, insistent on sticking out this infighting tactic that seems more Arslan's game. Right hooks over the top by Arslan, slamming into Alexeev's ear. Alexeev keeps tickling his forearms with his right jab, unable to snap it out at proper range and not able to really get any torque to push Arslan back with it, bowed over as he is. Arslan keeps circling tight around Alexeev and finding spots to put his fists, over below and around the guard of Alexeev. Some shots are getting through for Alexeev here and there, but he's mostly just pushing forward ineffectively.

Round 6

Arslan jabs into Alexeev's face and then coils his arms back up to block the return jabs. Alexeev is folding up both his long arms and his tall body and leaning against Arslan, pushing him back across the ring but having most of his jabs and left hands blocked. Arslan is landing short left uppercuts and navigating off the ropes with backward steps. Alexeev keeps pushing in and trying to get Arslan suspended on the ropes, but continues to miss his jabs or have them blocked.

Round 7

Alexeev rolls out his jab and keeps hitting the bottom of Arslan's upheld glove. Alexeev is able to shoulder-drive him back a few steps but is otherwise not making clean body contact of any sort. A pair of right hooks up top by Arslan. Uppercuts to the hip by Arslan while backing up. Alexeev is reaching around down low with his own side-winding body slaps. Not much power in them. Big whipping left hook to the kidney by Arslan. Alexeev is pushing ahead but not throwing much.
