Round 9 1-2 by Teper on the circling Gospic. All Gospic can do now is block and move, not risking any openings with his own shots unless he's leaned up against Teper in a clinch (and even then just slapping a few body shots). Gospic brushes the canvas with his glove and seems to be given a standing eight. The commentators mention something about his ankle seeming to bother him, and him complaining to the referee. Teper sees the wounded prety and is lining up constant stiff jabs and rights but getting overexcited, just barely missing as Gospic flops around above the waist. Teper settles down a bit and just lines up the right hand by itself. Gospic hammers away with overhand flurries, still giving ground. Teper lands uppercuts to the body. HUGE UPPPERCUT TO THE CHIN!!! Gospic is down like the Titanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KNOCKOUT!!!!!!!!
That was a massive heavyweight knockout punch. Teper still isn't anything close to a total package HW prospect, but he looked a lot more impressive tonight than he did against Hawkins. Gospic didn't come across as a bum, either - just a guy who quickly found that his own power wasn't going to make the sturdy German blink, and who got scared in a hurry after a couple of rounds of discovering just how much weaker he really was.
Anyone else enjoy reading IntentionalButt's regular RBR reports more than the actual fights, when it comes to relatively obscure bouts?
