Jeff Malcom's career was 1971-2002. Fought every year and finished at

That would have been a 32 year streak, right behind Azteca - but unfortunately he missed a couple of years, 1986 and 1992.

    That'll be 30 years, actually.

I'd be happy to live for 124 years let alone fight thru them :D

I gotta admit, when I first read the thread title, I guessed at it possibly meaning - Jim Flynn was the first train “fireman” to box (or we could even add: fight for the HW Title)….so who was the last “fireman” to do same.

Yes, my brain moves in mysterious ways.

Great thread btw - as per its intended premise.

Terry Marsh, the Fighting Fireman from London, was a junior welterweight titleholder but Mike Tyson ducked him, thus robbing Marsh from the opportunity to contest for the heavyweight crown.

Damn, there’s been far too much mother “ducking” ducking going on in the HW division.

So many dream matches gone by the wayside.

Terry remains the Peoples’ Champion and remembered as the one guy who instilled true fear in Mike Tyson. Mikey -“Baddest man alive?”….lol, my a**!!

Thought he fought straight through. My mistake, well spotted though.

Yep me too, he won fights in 5 decades but did miss those 2 years. 34 years and fought in 32 of them , not bad.

Damn! Thought I had another one. Angel Robinson Garcia competed every year from 1955-1978. Just missing the criteria at 24 years.
