It would be the worst decision of May's career. How can you fire a man who has been loyal by your side for 18 years.

The man is a jack of all trades.

    2nd assist
    Str/conditioning trainer
    CEO
    Financial advisor
    Spokesperson
    Resource manager
    Best friend
    Advisor

It is going to affect him financially and in the ring. Leonard is one of the biggest reasons why he is at this level, why is he the #1 draw, why he is the best fighter in the game.

It will lead to horrible consequences. I see Floyd taking his 1st loss if he fires Leonard.

The difference between Kevin Rooney and Leonard Ellerbe is that Rooney was actually training Mike Tyson. Ellerbe doesn't train Floyd and its been well documented that the CEO of Mayweather Promotions is noting more than a title because Mayweather promotions hasn't had a promoters licensee.

From the outside looking in I always got the feeling that Ellerbe was a close friend of Floyd's who really got paid to just kind of be a groupie and handle little arbitrary things. I'm almost positive if Floyd can fight without having Rodger Mayweather in his corner I'm sure he can manage two or three more fights without Ellerbe.

Ellerbe is nothing more than a comfortable security blanket for Floyd. If he is fine tossing out the security blanket, then toss it out.

Ellerbe was his str/conditioning trainer and was paramount to his success in the boxing business.

He was also one of the guys by his side when he started boxing.

One of the most loyal guys you can find.

As Floyd said , there's no hard feelings. Wouldn't you leave your girlfriend,
if she did not give you hard feelings anymore?

I think Don King had something to do with firing Rooney ,totally different. I still think its a stunt and this coming from a Floyd Fan.
