3:51-3:57 Freeze of Firpo landing on Dempsey prior to Jack going out of the ring.

What's noticable here is that Jack is fairly 'squared up', with little back-foot support to resist being sent back.

    Compare 46:11-46:20 Tyson-Holyfield I

Holyfield's chest punch comes in perpendicular to the line of Tyson's feet, so Tyson has no support from his stance against this punch.

0:02-0:03 Bruce Lee 'one inch punch'
Person being punch is completely squared to Lee, has no support against being pushed over

Mike, especially post-prison, tended to get squared up... even earlier in his career when he went in for the kill.

Tyson's feet were often squared up. Disappointingly, he almost always squared up on the inside making himself ineffective. Sometimes his feet were all over the place.
Dempsey had a similar bad habit when bobbing in and out, at times he looked badly vulnerable to the long-range uppercut.

Yes, I recall a video interview with George Chuvalo, who really liked Tyson, but did criticize Tyson for being moved back too easily because he didn't have good back foot support.

Yeah, Chuvalo would be right about that. Tyson never dug that back foot in behind him to get well-balanced in close.

On the other hand, he did a lot of stuff better than George Chuvalo did.
Like ... for a start .... slip punches !
