Jermain Taylor struggled with Welterweights. Cory Spinks and Winky Wright gave him hell.

Overrated average fighter form the get go living off wins by outworking an old Hopkins. Got KO'd when he faced his first true middleweight with power, got outboxed by Kelly Pavlik.

Oh and got knocked out by the Slobra. The ultimate humiliation.

I've consistently picked Abraham in this one. There's nothing ambiguous about it :huh

Dirrell has never shown the ability to fight the kind of disciplined fight he would need to win here. He has never so far in his career shown the kind of balls that he needs here. That, as I said in a previous thread, is why Abraham has to be favourite. Abraham can win by being the fighter we have seen before. Dirrell can win, but he needs to be the fighter that he has shown the potential to be, but never actually has been as yet.

oh ok cause I thought you said Abraham "does nothing great" but I guess now he has excellent defense and explosive power.

I think your viewing of Abraham has been fairly limited...

Of course not. Did you understand the point I was making, though?

Thank you. Now im 100% on Dirrell.

Abraham is not a dirty fighter. Abraham does some dirty stuff. Such as following threw with elbows. But unlike Froch he's class. And wont body slam, rabbit punch and backhand to a victory.

Dirrell was ill-disciplined because like Tszyu against Hatton you just arent prepared for that **** no matter how long you've been fighting.

Dirrell instincts are good enough to compensate for all his faults in this fight.
He broke out of his original gameplan and tried to stop Froch in their fight. How is that not showing balls?

I know you Slobra slurpers like to forget that Dirrell nearly stopped your man.

Dirrell has all the natural abilities to beat Abraham. His confidence was not shaken against Froch even though he was fighting in the oh so horrifying Nottingham, and not by Froch MMA style fighting. He's learned from that fight and it'll show on the night.

You're right. Because in the Taylor fight he was boxing off the back foot, tripling his jab, and landing flush compact uppercuts on the inside.

In reality he was flat footed, let Taylor tire himself out throwing 100 punches against his gloves, and rocked Taylor with every punch he landed because Taylors chin is shot.

No argument there. Balls deep, in fact.

Not sure who you're confusing me with here?

I picked Froch by stoppage in that one. Fight in many respects didn't play out really how I expected (though I don't know that anybody really called how it would go), although some of the points I picked up pre-fight did turn out to be accurate. And you?

Apart from that, I criticised Froch for years for not stepping up his competition, ridiculed him for constantly calling out Joe Calzaghe without having done anything, picked Taylor to beat him and have been predicting Kessler to school him for years. Don't really think I qualify for the Froch nuthuggers club, sorry.

I've also posted here for four years without once feeling the need to hide behind a new alias. And you?

There's no real comparison between Dirrell and a shot Taylor. I doubt Jermain won the first few rounds. It appears that way because he threw more but most shots were to the gloves and didn't count. Dirrell needs to study some Kalambay/Mccallum 1 for some real defensive footwork because admitingly AD did run from Froch at times. Dirrell can pull it off but he has to stay focus and not get too confident.

I picked Dirrell to win wide. Which he would have had the fight been at nuetral venue. Nobody expected Froch to body slam and rabbit punch his way to a gift decision, no.

But anyone who saw Froch fight knew he was mediocre at best and is probably the worst champ in the sport right now.

    I was actually banned.
