First Amateur fight tomorrow....any advice??

    yep i'm sure you'll feel better this time. I totally understand why people wouldn't want to pile on the extra pressure, maybe that would be better for me. If anything for my last fight I was too fired up for it and over excited by the whole occasion, I got a bit too mad keen in getting involved in a war when I should've used my other strengths more than I let him use his. My gameplan A was always to box box box but it is difficult to keep a lid on it. I'm sure I'll get to winning ways soon. I've adjusted my style and gone back to basics which I think will improve me no end.

    another good post jeff.:gooda bout that lasts minutes and you get home and can't sleep and continue going through the fight for hours.good luck mate:bbb

    what club are you with mike ?? i boxed in southport twice.at the floral hall in 79 and 80.

    Sefton ABC, Not actually in Southport, Though I used to box in Southport and Ainsdale. Which club did you box for?

    burscough abc.the only club in southport then was at the ymca i think and it was run by a bloke named tommy.there were a couple of lads who boxed at our club from southport.
    they were great days and i'll never forget them. where abouts is your club ??

    not much advise you can tell someone. In your first fight it all goes out the window.

    Thats how its like.

    My only advice is jab alot and be aggresive.

    in my first this lad was as tall and skinny as me which i didn't expect and every time i jabbed him, he jabbed me,the rotten git:lol:

    Oh right I wasn't aware of burscough abc, I'll look out for it. My clubs in Netherton, kind of near Aintree.
