Well i had my fist bout last night and it never went so well, The guy i was fighting was a first bouter also. I found i went in looking for the big punch throwing big haymakers quite often putting me off balance which actually managed to put me on the canvas on 1 occasion with a little tap from my opponent. I came home from offshore after 2 weeks on thursday and fought on Fri, I have had no sparring for over a month and very little pads or training as i've had the cold for 8 days now. I do now have a bout planned against the same guy in 5 days time so i hope my cold has passed by then and i can make it 1 and 1
I think because of lack of training and fitness due to my cold i really wanted to finish the fight early so tatally cocked it all up by going for the KO, the more i think about it the worse it gets!
why on earth did you take this fight under these circumstances? you had the cold, no pads and no sparring why take the fight
I called the coach and told him i was not fit when i was offshore, but he kinda managed to twist my arm:nut
Dont worry about it, its all about experience u can learn from dat loss. Cum out using the jab first and try to find ur range and set up ur punches. But no sparrin or pads isnt gonna help they are vital as that is what keeps u sharp and dat is when u learn most in trainin.
just the fact you was offshore (as alota guys in my area work off shore) you were a first bouter with your oppoennt the same and you got KD'd and it was a friday you werent boxing in peterhead was you?
 LOL! Yer mate i was in Peterhead i was 4th on, i never got KO'd the lad never had the strength for that! But what a **** up done pretty much everything wrong:twisted::twisted::twisted: Where u from yourself m8?
Yeh thought it was you Im from peterhead i was on 3rd last at Junior Lightweight Your fight you definitly did come out swinging, The guy you was fighting just leaned back if you fought him again straight punch combos would work well as he would lean back from the first shots but then you would catch him as he leaned back further as for the Knock Down i didnt really see it, looked a slip
nah dropped a Split Decision thought i got it but it was close i landed the cleaner shots he threw more (although i thought i blocked most of them) fought the wrong fight completly fought an inside war and when i had rooom i did good but im stupid
Was a close fight, I thought u would have utilised your reach a bit more, Your two very tough kids, Ive seen you box at quite a few shows now always entertaing :good Euan is obviously 1 of my traing partners, I think we are trying to get a few more of the Elgin boys fighting in Aberdeen on the 8th
