Hi All, I am going to watch my first live boxing show on saturday, Reebok Stadium, Bolton. Has anyone got any advice or tips on going to live fight nights? Cheers,
Just stay cool & cherish the moment my man... It's a great experince.. Who's fighting? Try to judge the fight seeing how you'll probably be really close & see if it's that much diffrent than watching it in front of the tv... Have fun & let us know how it goes..
Watch out for the Pikeys, wear a vest Take some videos for ESB And let us know what you think of Hatton promotions.
Cheers Quigg v Arthur is headline, should be a good fight. Will let you know how it went! (alas, I think it will be too cold for a vest)
Don't get to wasted before the main event , countless fights I can't even remember because of over indulging !
Watch out for that Paddy McGuiness, always trying to fix slappers up with dates. On a more serious note, how much of the stadium is being used? I'd imagine Quigg would have a good following but surely it must be half the ground at the very most? Good luck, have to admit I found my first stadium fight very underwhelming(Tyson-Savarese) but Quigg looks good value to me.
Well I had a great time! - Apart from basically skidding the whole way there due to snow/ice. It was being held in a hotel suite within the ground itself so was quite compact, hence was pretty near the front Saw Ricky Hatton, Matthew Hatton, Jamie Moore, Martin Murray, Crolla, plus loads more. Got picture taken with Martin Murray he was a really nice guy. Overall opinion of matches I saw: Matty Askin (cruiserweight) - Looks decent, powerful body shots, got early stoppage Rendall Munroe - Looked basically p1ssed off that everyones raving about Quigg and he was the support act - hence sparked out his very weak opponent in first round (he's being let down by Ricky here I think) Quigg/Arthur - Great fight - could of gone on longer, although Quigg looked like he was wearing Arthur down - worth a rematch, as I think Quigg will avoid frampton for a bit Saving my favorite 'till last - Not just cos he's a scouser but James "Jazza" Dickens (8-0)looks like he's one to watch for the future: 20 yr old featherweight, southpaw. He destroyed his opponent, unlucky not to get the stoppage but the other guy was tall with long arms who looked like he just wanted to survive. Jazza skips in and out of range really well, constantly moving in and out fast, and throws his left cross with genuine hate!!
