Great news if true, regular shows on free to air tv will be a massive boost for the sport. It would be nice to see one of Parsons/Koogs lot call call out Eddie on an interview on why he stated it was 4 shows - but their is more chance of a lottery win than that happening, as usual they will continue to gloss over it and change the subject to the latest 'drip' they are wearing of some other BS. I really miss the days of proper journalism!
Wouldn’t have thought so, BBC are off air at 10 so Clarke fight is probably starting at 9pm latest, can’t see Hearn putting his main event on that early, would imagine Whittaker fights at 10-ish.
My dad (barely watches any boxing) just mentioned to me how he’s seen there’s boxing on BBC and he’ll watch. Boxxer could be on to a good thing.
Just turned it on and literally the first thing I heard was ‘shoe shine punches’ cringe cringe cringe. How long until someone throws a corkscrew right hand or someone is discombobulated
I think it looks alright tbh. Bunce adding a bit of his usual quirkiness, Groves always speaks well and the presenter seems alright. My only negative would be everyone is running around doing different roles. After a fight Bunce leaves the pundits box to go and do interviews and Groves leaves the commentary to fill in for Bunce. Just get someone else doing the post-fight interviews. Edit - get rid of Big Mo.
There's literally no money from rights fees for these shows, compared to a Sky deal its like Premier League v Sunday League.
I think I still have PTSD from hype train BBC Fraudley, but good to see it back, I guess. At least it delivered a good fight.
This must be the worst 2 hours of boxing seen on television anywhere in the world. The female fight followed by 2 unfit fat puddings was a compete insult to the noble art. The Britsh Heavyweight Title has never been held by a man with a bigger bra size than the current fatty and Clarke wants to take up chess or table tennis as he is never a boxer.
