Azim' next fight at the copper box looks like the two ends are closed, and not many tickets sold at all. Clearly very talented but his appeal doesnt seem to have crossed over really at all
It will be really interesting to see how the TV views translate to sales after a few shows. As it stands, it looks like theyve sold about 3k tickets. His fight after this one will be really interesting if he headlines
Just seen Archie Sharp has been added to this card. Not heard him mentioned much these days, thought he was with Queensberry. anyone know what happened to him? I remember watching him beat Lyon Woodstock in Leicester 6/7 years ago, he looked good and went on a really good run afterwards from memory
Sharp had a few injury problems, time out of the ring came back against Ryan Garner another who was inactive for different reasons and really for Warren, perfect storm. Both were for me at make or break stage, Garner showed to be the superior man at 27 still time, and Warren thought at 30, Sharp will only ever get to Euro level at best. Garner took his opportunity and he's at last chance saloon with Warren who has given him a chance, much like Mitchell Smith.
It's probably going to be one of those random streaming platforms like ProBox TV or Triller. Not sure how many PPV's he's contracted for, he hasn't exactly got many superstars in his stable right now.
Yeah makes sense. I can't see how he makes a PPV fight with his stable. Azim has barely sold a ticket for the copper box
Urgh, crap news for everyone that. At least with nobody else wanting Boxxer, it meant we’ve all got some free boxing back on the BBC. And given how much the BBC must be paying, it won’t be long before anything of any note ends up on PPV. Tyson Fury aside, nobody has really made PPV in this country work without the Sky hype train. If it’s somewhere dead random like Triller PPVs, you’re basically relying on social media as the primary form of promotion, and even in this day and age I’m not convinced that’ll work at any decent scale. Same old greedy sport, and same old greedy obsession with PPV.
My prediction is Eubank has wangled the Canelo fight in September and Boxxer need somewhere to stick it on in the UK, hence the PPV deal.
Surely not - Charlatan Eubank Jnr in his prime could not find his pen FFS This would be one of the worst liberties in boxing mugging the public even worse than a double dose of Haye v Bellew.
To be honest all the rest are at it so nothing new I honestly cannot imagine any recent PPV figures make good reading, given the popularity of the fire stick
Canelo seems to still be in bed with the Saudis, so you’d assume it’ll be a DAZN or Netflix job, even if it is against Eubank.
