    .... Victor Bravo!!!! The next generation out of the Bad Boyz Boxing Club in Garden City, Kansas. Victor is out of the red corner and is wearing red.

    Victor won the 119 pound Nation Jr. Olympic title in Escondido, California. He will next compete in the International Jr. Olympics next summer.

    You must have a good gym I really don't like Ortiz but him and Rios are very good highly ranked fighters, I haven't seen Acevedo fight sounds like a good prospect, glad too see your gym's doing well and pumping out good fighters I love watching new prospects fight.

    Thanks, Victor Bravo is only 15 and he won the Jr Olympic National title at 119 pounds by beating a 5 time national champion. Victor will now compete on the international team this summer.

    Thanks, Flattie, please keep us posted of Bravo's progress over the next few years. Hope he decides to go pro when the time is right.

    God amateur boxing makes me sick... The scoring system and the headgear make it completely differant to pro boxing..

    Just slug as much as you can ....

    Really? I enjoy both but I like the speed and tempo of the amateur bouts more. I disagree about "just slug as much as you can" though. It just seems that way because the rounds are only one minute long and a boxer has to land punches mostly to their opponent's head to gain points. Pro fights tend to be a lot less high paced and judges tend to look more at damage done and less upon punches landed. There is a reason why boxers with a lengthy amateur careers are better and more successful pros.
