First day in a boxing gym today for me, going this afternoon :D

What should I expect and bring? I got wrestling shoes, shitty handwraps, and gloves. I guess a mouthpiece would be smart ?

I'm just hoping the conditioning isn't out of this world tough because I run and workout on my own as well...pretty much just want to learn how to box a bit

First day you should only be doing stance, footwork, movement.

You shouldn't be punching anything until you have those things perfected.

After that, you will probably learn the jab first. Then the right cross. Then probably some drills with the 1+2 circling the bag.

After that, the hook. Then probably some mitt work with the 1+2+3 and some movement and some shadow boxing.

After that, the uppercut and body punches. More mitt work and shadow boxing.

From there, it could go anywhere, but I would guess it will go to some basic defense and 30 sec controlled sparring drills, like one guy jabbing and one guy catching the jab, etc..

I can't wait to get back in a gym.
I've been out of boxing for close to 8 months now. I'm moving house toward the end of the year and there is a boxing gym only 2km away. It's gonna be like starting from scratch again, but I'm ****ing itching to get back into regular training.
