For the record i had two weeks to prepare for this fight, that combined with nerves meant i was blowing out my arse before the end of the 1st. Excuses over cheers for any feedback

very best of luck my friend, enjoy the experience!
what uni vs what uni? was it leeds?
just eat whatever you find best to sustain you over a training session, I'm not a fan of changing things when you are competing, compete as you train. have some good complex carbs throughout the day, depends if you have to make weight as well.

Eat well the day before. Very important!

I like to eat a good chicken and pasta dish made with brown pasta for tea. Get some veggies in there. A really clean way of eating it is just using a tin of chopped tomatoes as the sauce with a bit of seasoning.

Then I have a bowl of porridge an hour or so before bed.

On the day have a good carb breakfast as soon as you get up with a couple of bananas or something like that. I like to eat small portions throughout the day that are easy to digest and will keep your energy levels constant. Take lots of sugary things with you 2 the fight. Mars bars, jaffa cakes etc, some bananas aswell. Take way more than you need of loads of different things.

Take a chicken sandwich or something with a good portion of protein in it for straight after the fight. And stretch off after. It's easily forgotten after the buzz of a fight but you'll feel it in the morning if you dont.

Really important to keep hydrated aswell. If your struggling to make weight this might be an issue. Make sure you prepared to hydrate fully after weigh in.

Good luck bud. Relax and don't forget to enjoy it!

Cheers guys. smalls yeah its Leeds met vs Leeds Uni, its at the end of a local am show so ill probably be fighting 2nd last as im 76kg which is gonna be great for my nerves.

To be honest at the moment im just excited and im well within weight so im just gonna have my porridge etc. as i usually would, a good lunch then take a bit of brown rice chicken and veg as usual to eat after the weigh in (ill have 4/5 hours before the fight) and then have some bannanas and things for closer to the fight.

Its only 3x2min rounds so would it make sense to have lots of carbs the day before because its not really long enough.

Just so as yous know. Had my first fight last night and won it on a TKO near the end of the 2nd on the 3rd standing 8 count of the round. Wasnt particularly pleased with my performance as i took a bit of a beating in the 1st and got smashed up at one point in the 2nd but was an amazing experience. Videos to follow soon if people are interested.

Well done mate! you should be happy with that, TKO against someone with more fight experience than you. It's so easy to self criticize after a fight. Try not too look at what you did badly, but look at what your opponent did well and take parts of his game and implement it into your training if it fits.

Yeah i didnt realise it was stopped because it was right at the end of the round. I think it was cos after the knockdown he just stood there taking shots. Sorry about the shitty camera work my bird was doing it and was obviously getting a bit worked up. You cant really see but there was quite a bit of my blood coming from my nose.
