First fight I ever watched live was De La Hoya vs Mayweather. I never had HBO, Showtime or even cable tv growing up, so I never got to watch boxing. A guy I worked with at the time said to come for this Mega event to try to turn me onto boxing and it worked! Luckily he has been a die hard fan for 20 years and has like 400 fights on tape from all generations, which he let me borrow and watch all of them. Kind of odd that was the fight to make someone a huge boxing fan but it did.

hmmm first fight i watched live. well i heard lewis vs tyson live on the radio.

but you know, i live in england, when i was younger it was nigh on impossible to stay up and watch fights.

from the top of my head, im gonna say it was hatton vs collazo. i saw a lot of fights after the event, but i think that was the first i stayed up for.

im 22 now, so ill have been what 19/20 when that happened?

Dick Tiger vs Emile Griffith, as was a just a kid and I remember my Father saying that Emile Griffith had killed a man in the ring. So with that and the name "Tiger", and since I was a little boy, I was really rooting for Dick Tiger.

    lewis tyson or lewis holyfield
used to watch the mccullough fights the mornin after as they were on too late
dont remeber watchin steve collins fights with eubank and benn but they were huge in ireland so probably did
but the fighter that got me into boxing in a big way was bernard dunne when he came back from america and was on free to air tv in ireland ...he basically got the whole nation back into boxing as he was a good fighter to watch and was promoted well along with his fights being accesible to everyone

I honestly could never tell you. When I first started watching boxing it was a very early Hamed and Eubank, Bruno, Benn etc...

I will always remember the Naz/Soto fight where he body-slammed him. That made me laugh a lot.

Ok I thought you meant live and in person.

Live on TV was probably one of the Eubank-Benn fights. Or Naz.

Some obscure guy beat the **** out of another obscure guy on some obscure spanish channel in Los Angeles back in 1983 when I was probably 4 years old, in company with my grandmother and my quadrapalegic uncle.

I guess the first TV fight I ever saw was the ALi vs Henry Cooper around 1966. Ali was so incredibly graceful & fierce at the same time. You just knew you were watching greatness more than any athelete I ever remember seeing in any sport. The first live fight that ever went to was when Oscar De La Hoya fought Jeff Mayweather at the fabulous Forum in Inglewood Ca. eddie Mustafa yelled some bazaar **** at Oscar about Oscar gettin schooled by Jeff. Jeff looked like a good fighter which he was but Oscar was a beast at 135lbs. Jeff showed up for a few rounds before the eventual 4th round TKO Mayweather got! It was a lot of fun though.

I would have loved to have been able to see the 60's, 70's and early 80's era of boxing.
