    Well he may be! If Floyd's feet are still fast enough to get away, then by all means he can avoid it. But, Pac's feet are quicker and if you watch Maidana, Floyd couldn't even move his feet quick enough against him and resulted to just using his body to slip and roll with the punches in front of Maidana, more particularly in the later rounds.

    Okay, but Manny is also one of the best counterpunchers out there right now, so anything Floyd puts out Manny can also counter...AND FAST.

    Problem with Floyd's opponents is they are baited by Floyd's chin too much with it seemingly open.

    Roach said if Floyd uses the shoulder that they will break his shoulder..literally, roach said he knows the doctor who performed two previous surgeries on it.

    Sorry PAC is no counter puncher ! PAC's foot work only works on fighter who don't move. He was out menuved by bradly, Marquez and al.

    Pac is one of this sport's finest counterpunchers. In fact, you'll see him feint and counter Floyd's right a lot in the fight.

    Pac is not a counter puncher! Show me an example of him counter punching ?
    Because he is not one.

    Pac is a fighter who throws lots of punches, which hardly a candidate as a counter puncher.

    Finally if Pac tries to counter punch with Floyd he loses period! He does not have the reach and he does not have the style.

    In order to be a counter puncher you have to be able to sit in the pocket and create traps! when was the last time pac has done that ? Never!
    Pac relies strictly on speed.

    So lets stop lying to ourselves pretending Pac is a patient counter puncher ! And floyd fan wont pretend like floyd is a volume puncher !!

    Those two statement are a lie !!

    SMH, some people are just clueless. Pacquiao is NOT a pure counter puncher. That does not mean that he can't or doesn't counter punch. A counter punch is a type of punch that follows an attack lunched by an opponent. Pacquiao does this all the time.

    IMO, there are three ways of counter punching. One way is moving away or swaying and then attacking. An example would be the "pull counter" that Mayweather does.

    Another way is matching your opponents punch (while of course dodging the punch). A very risky technique. Mayweather, Marquez, Morales and Pacquiao are known to use this technique. Pacquiao uses this technique to counter his opponents jab. He used it against Cotto, Rios, Dela Hoya, Barrera... most of his opponents.


    IMO, beating your opponent to the punch is also a type of counter. This requires tremendous skills and speed. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao uses this technique. If you want an example, watch Pacquiao-Hatton round 1, "right hook roll under".


    I'll say this again. Pacquiao is not a pure counter puncher. Pacquiao is boxer puncher. He can fight moving backward or forward when he needs/wants to.
