Hey all, I will be posting less and less here. But there is a gem I found that I couldn't pass up to share, since it may be of help to some of you. I read about this thing the Irish Government did in the mid 1930's, where they asked 100,000 kids to find the oldest person they know, and to ask them for a story about their life. The kids documented the stories, the government archived them, and they are now digitally available for free. The idea hit me that there must be some boxing stories in there, so I looked, and there are definitely some gems. Here is the link to the archive with the word "boxer" already in the search. Feel free to change the search parameters. You can try "Boxing" or "Fighter" and find other results. https://www.duchas.ie/en/src?q=boxer I know there are a few guys on here who do deep dives into 1700's-1800's boxing, and hopefully this helps add something to their bank of knowledge.
Taking the dogs out now.I'll read this later. ps Good to see you back R,we all have blips, don't desert us.
Slightly off topic my friend, but... Although I have only been a forum member for nine or ten months or so... Why have you decided to contribute less?
Hey I don't like the way I've been treated by some fellow members and the mod of the forum. I don't feel I've been treated fairly, so I've decided to stop sharing content on this website, and I will be contributing altogether far less if at all. I will still be finding and uploading rare, restored snippets over at my twitter account. I won't be posting them here. If anyone doesn't use Twitter and wants to know how to find me, just PM me!
