I don't understand this logic at all. The fight was in Klitschko's favor when Briggs said he was coming at 242. The fight was over when Briggs came in at 260+. Did anyone see Briggs vs Ibraganov and Liakovich. Both fighters were dominating Briggs on a wide margin before one of them got knocked out in literaly the last second of the fight. The difference between them and Vitali is that they're both shorter and smaller than Briggs, and Vitali has a longer reach and is taller. Briggs was just as immobile, but only older this time. Of course Vitali was going to easily outbox him from the outside, and probably should have stopped him. I'm not saying Vitali isn't a great fighter because I believe he is, and he would definitely beat the **** out of any version of Wlad, but let's not overrate this win.
Briggs said, and i quote! "I've fought Foreman, i've fought Lewis, and Vitali is the best, he hits harder than Foreman, he's got incredibly fast hands."
I don't care what he said, he got a gift against an old foreman in his 40's, and Lewis knocked his ass out.
i think maybe foreman hit harder in 1973 instead of 1997 and 48 years old. good comparison shannon...
after he almost knocked lewis out...good heat shown out there everyone figured a blowout...give duke a lil credit...
Not saying Lewis wouldn't have won anyway (he probably would have)...but he didn't really knock Briggs out. Briggs fell down from a missed punch and the ref waved it off. Watch 3:50 of this clip. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7L2io5-Fjs[/ame]
