First man to fight champs at both lightweight and heavyweight?

    Not a bad call, as he fought several champions from several divisions at the start of the 20th century - among them Jack Johnson in 1905.
    But he never met a lightweight champion.

    Don't know if it can be defined as "fought",but Joe Grim was at least in the ring together
    with Joe Gans and both Bob Fitzsimmons and Jack Johnson letting them hit him in the head as much as they liked.

    Yes, Sir... we are of course talking about Joe Grim:good

    In October 1903, just 5 days apart, Grim went 6 rounds with first Bob Fitzsimmons and then Joe Gans - suffering a total of 30 knockdowns!
