What does this mean as i hear it so often and stilll have no clue. at a guess it is you throw a punch/combo change the angle throw another punch/combo and then get out of range

Thats so weird I was talking about second and third phase attacks last night with a couple of lads up the gym.
Its especially useful for the amateur scoring system. It allows the judges to see your punches landing cleanly on your opponent.
Say for example you have your opponent in the corner, instead of going toe to toe and exchanging punches. You would use second and third phase punches to score points "clean points."

For example you throw a 1-2 (which he blocks on his gloves), step back, just as he's lifting his head to see where you are you fire another combination at him and step away. Basically you are on your toes the whole time moving in and out, trying to trick him into throwing punches, as he throws his your ready to counter his counters, if you know what I mean?

Use both back and forth side to side, vary your movement the key is to be unpredictable..
