Well, I was utter crap. Highlight was a partner drill, with a girl half my size, I couldn't avoid 75% of her punches. She would have hit me every time, that was pretty much a good summing up of my current condition! Bad footwork, and this new gym isn't particularly organised, no rounds and things like that. I'll make the most of it though, going to Manchester in September, should improve a lot then but need to really get the basics back by the summer.
Are used to spar girls occaisionally. I neveer really threw anything solid back at them, I used it as good practice for defence and slipping punches, plus lots of footwork and ring movement- they'd have to catch me to hit me.
Having said that though, it was a silly drill, it was slipping right hands to the left, so I was pretty much leaning into her punches. Oh well Back again at it today.
Get tae ****. My back feels stiff today, but that's from running, and I have a headache, which is from flu. I am such a whiny *****!
I'm doing my national service in the army now, 2 years compulsory, I've only really become able to train regularly, but I live far away from my home and my old gym.
Hahaha, she didn't, I just WOULDN'T HAVE avoided her punches if we were, but then again I wouldn't be ducking past her punches a foot below me. Also, amy, I don't like you anymore.
