I'm sparring a friend of mine tomorrow for the first time. I've trained for over a year now, just by myself, never in a gym or anything. I'm 6' and 150 lbs. I've just been doing boxing for fun, and I thought I'd finally take it up a level. Anyway, any tips for the first fight? I hear all the training just goes out the window. Hopefully I'll be able to put up a video pretty soon.
it aint a fight its sparring so dont try to knock your freind out just enjoy it and do what youve trained to do just dont go wild if you do chances are he will pick you off. remember its sparring so nothng should go out the window your just learning not trying to knock some 1 out for a world title just box your way in with your jab if you want to get inside or if you wanna stick to the outside just use your jab and cross and move round the ring in different directions.
