Loads of people saying it was there first boxing show at wembley on saturday an ive seen loads of people writing on twitter & eddie hearn about the next one. Do you think they all expect every boxing show to be like this  hopefully the shows dont fill up with loads of new bellend fans who havent got a clue especially at the liverpool show

Look what happened to darts mate. It's the Hearn/SKY effect. Not everyone's cuppa, but that's progress I suppose.

Nope, but it can't be a bad thing for British Boxing, surely?

Definitely good for the sport. Still can't help but get a bit annoyed when all of a sudden I'm hearing guys at the gym talking absolute nonsense about boxing like they are overnight experts

Nah they wont hang around. Might attract about half the attention for Fury Chisora but that's it. See how many give their opinions on Hall Butler Saturday night or even more funny lets see how many of them think Martinez Cotto will go, in some peoples minds the fight of the year so far.

You have to start somewhere with boxing knowledge. Hopefully this gets more fans into the sport, it can only be a good thing. I remember it was hype that got me into boxing, Mayweather v De La Hoya. Not the greatest of fights but I have been a fan ever since.

I hope that Hearn can do with boxing, what he did to darts.
In the past the 'Lakeside' was the most important tournament off the year, but after Hearn lured every big star to the PDC, it became almost irrelevant. With this new match-ups, the following of darts has been increased.
He's doing the same with boxing, by signing guys like deGale and Joshua. Now with the Wembley event, he created a new standard and a lot of new fans.
Other promotors like FW and Hennesy can never do this.

Why can't Wembley become a staple of the boxing calendar. Frampton v Quigg. haye v anyone. Froch v Degale. degale v Groves 2. ALL big, big fights.

Because although those are big fights for boxing fans, they will do nothing for casuals. Ask someone walking down the street if they want to see frampton fight quigg, you will be treated to a blank stare.

Nah they won't stick around.. Froch Groves was the hottest ticket in town so attracted all the casuals.

Not big enough to even half fill Wembley.
