"If Calzaghe didn't have an undefeated record, I don't think folks would throw around the word "great" with Joe Calzaghe. Chad Dawson is a guy that I would pick to beat Calzaghe. Glen Johnson is an even fight... Chad Dawson is the only guy I would pick right now to decisively beat Calzaghe."

I have Calzaghe edging right now, due to the fact I dont know if Dawson can keep his work rate up for a full 12 rounds to sway the judges in Wales. They'll count Calzaghe's slaps on his back as legit punches lol.

But i do see Dawson giving Calzaghe the fight of his life no doubt. If Calzaghe wasnt afraid of losing his 0 he'd fight Dawson.

Calzaghe seriously needs to retire, the hunger to train and fight is gone, and when that goes, you start to lose.

If Calzaghe does fight Dawson, it is not a certainty that he wins, for that reason alone. Dawson is young and hungry and Calzaghe has not been hungry for years now.

doug fisher of doghouse is a notorious bias dip**** amercian pro fight\fan. He couldn't call a nonpartisan fight if he was schooled
a month ahead. He's hardly qualified to be mistaken for jounalistic
integrity. However, stupid calz haters fall for anything to give themselves ammunition to fire against a winner.

    LOSERS!!

Let us guess - Doug wouldn't coincidentally happen to be American, would he?

Lots of people`would beat`Calzaghe UNTIL they fight him.

Who knows, we might get to see it, never say never.

Johnson would have a punchers chance at beating calzaghe. AKA the fight would be more like he has an 6-1 chance rather than an even fight.

Dawson, however, is an even fight.

You know guys, I kinda recall this sentiment happening before Lacy, Kessler, Bhop, and then RJJ.

Dawson found it very difficult dealing with Glen Johnson's pressure. Just because he beat Tarver doesn't mean he has worked out all of the problems he'll still have when fighting pressure fighters. I believe Calzaghe would be all over him and break his heart. Chad would mentally give up at some stage in the fight.

Personally, I think Glenn Johnson is more of a threat. The guy is so tough and hits authoratively with a high workrate. However, Joe would be the favourite there too.

Dawson aint Lacy. He has real skill with great speed and good power. His defense is weak but the best defense is a great offense and he has that.

Lacy got a lot of love by knocking people out, Dawson just out classes people. He had a tough fight with Glen Johnson but who hasnt.

they're fighters with 2completely different styles and attributes

    Johnson an infighter with power

    calzaghes a hit-n-run volume puncher

so what Johnson did has nothing to do with what Calzaghe can do....they're both completely different fighters

thats like saying Joe struggled with Bhop so he's obviously gonna struggle with Dawson...no they fight totally different fights
