Fischer: "Dawson Would Beat Calzaghe, Calzaghe/Johnson Is An Even Fight"

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by san rafael, Nov 12, 2008.

  1. That for me?

Joe got a gift versus a clearly non-peak Eubank (Joe had 3 good rounds), an ugly split-decision after getting dropped by a 43 year old (ex-middleweight), and managed to get dropped in the first, and hurt at the end of the sixth against a completely shot RJJ.

I'm pretty sure the 6'3" 26 year old has more than enough hand speed, workrate, skill, talent, and size to put a beat down on Joe Calzaghe in 2009.

  2. Yeah, but you butt-dog Joe so wtf do you know?

    lol

How can you be objective when you have a Calzaghe blow-up doll in your lap?

I'm sure your prediction is much more objective having seen Diaconu and Henry's outing. That **** was real impressive :nut

I thought this one was worse actually but horses for courses... I think the key here is the other one didn't actually resort to making up lies about what boxers have actually said!

  6. Right. Joe can whup all the guys he doesn't fight. Just ask yourself how Henry, Diaconu, and George as real LHWs compare to that murderer's row of talent he fought after the Eubank fight for eight years or so. No points for fighting elite fighters when they are on social security.

    Who the **** is George?

Diaconu and Henry compare about the same, or worse than fighters like Byron Mitchell at this point. Neither has done **** except against each other, when two unproven fighters face each other it gives no real indication of anything. Especially when the winner splutters to the finishing line like an 80 year old suffering from asthma. Of course he deals with Calzaghe's work-rate :nut

I can tell it kills you that you've picked against Calzaghe so many times.

Give it a rest ffs, Dawson would get battered just the like the rest of the C class fighters the yanks have put in front of him. Appreciate a good fighter when you see one! Not a Pavliik/Lacy cloned one dimensional ******.

  10. Actually, I think Joe is a good fighter. Just not what you dumbasses believe. LMAO. There is no shame in being between 100-200 all time.

    Brian Mitchell? hehe

All right, whatever you say, man.

Are Diaconu and George (who) in your top 200?

  12. They really aren't in a position to be rated for that at this point in their careers. But based upon what they've accomplished to date, no, of course not. But you know that.

They both have the ability to hurt Joe and beat him though. Joe's not a true LHW. Slapping isn't gonna deter them.

So unproven prospects who have been hiding in the States feasting on Ameribums are suddenly better opposition than proven world champions and top ten guys like Reid, Mitchell, Brewer, Woodhall, Lacy, Kessler, Sheika etc... just because they're maybe a few pounds naturally heavier... right!

Ah, the old "walking through slaps" theory. It's a shame that one has never quite come to fruition in the real world.

I can see how opposition such as Adrian Diaconu and Chris Henry who I am sure is a WWE wrassler are going to change things.
