    WTF IS WITH THESE IDIOTS?!

Can't speak to whatever the Fite.tv broadcast was doing (although their feed reportedly went down in the middle of the Pérez vs. Salam fight earlier, but came up soon thereafter) but Canal Space returned from commercial ten seconds into the first round of the main event. No ring walks, no intros, just bam, sorry, it has already started. Unforgivable!

    Round 1

Dávila is circling and pawing down gently with a drawbridge left jab, having a read on Trout. Busy right jabs at different speeds from the southpaw veteran, and lots of posing and watching for a spot. They each try slotting in a rear hand shot downstairs once in a while, but they are keeping too far apart for either to really score with those.

    10-9 Trout, close

    Round 2

Dávila is pressuring hard and thumping rights onto the belly of Trout prettuy regularly. When he comes in spraying head shots, Trout is able to shrimp up into a tight ball in the corner and make him miss everything, but not many counters from Trout. Dávila on work rate.

    10-9 Dávila

    19-19

Wtf is going on here?! This is on tape delay!?!

They skipped round three and went from the second to showing the fourth - unless the onscreen graphic was just wrong. (it said Round 4/10 beside the round timer)

Apparently they cut a couple of rounds from the co-main event, too, because I'm reading that it was Pérez KO6 Salam from multiple sources on Twitter, not KO4. They only showed three complete rounds on Canal Space before the KO round. :nusenuse:

Now the 6th.. Trout has been comfortably landing pull-counter lefts on Dávila's torso, shimmying in the pocket with a little shoulder roll action to make Dávila miss everything, and sneaking in left uppercuts, all while controlling Dávila with a steady diet of blinding right jabs. Trout has won every round clearly except the second, where he simply didn't work enough. When he slips & counters, he schools Dávila

Okay, they return from commercial and the round clock still displays "6/10". Okay, so it had just been off by a round for a few before. We didn't miss anything. That last one there was actually the 5th.

    Trout up 49-46 then.

Trout seems content to dance around the ring and pot-shot his way to a UD here, not really putting his boot on Dávila's throat for the stoppage. Tbf, only two guys have stopped Dávila before, and both Zewski and Bohachuk fight a bit more aggressively than does Trout, and they only managed a retirement after 6 rounds and TKO10 respectively so the Mexican, while not hard to hit, isn't gotten rid of easily.

59-55 Trout, just having fun in there, making a light spar of this while Dávila is giving his all but getting outlanded in droves.

Trout doing a great job quickening his steps to double-time while circling and positioning the downturned palm of his left mitt to catch virtually all of Dávila's shots aimed for his face while rocking steady on the backfoot. Dávila's gum shield is out late, and immediately upon having it replaced he finally catches Trout with a couple of right hands that send beads of sweat flying and Trout laughs appreciatively, most drama of the round if not fight.

    10-9 Trout, 69-64 Trout

Dávila needs to actually bite down on that gum shield and clamp his mouth shut; it keeps popping out.

Austin's energy-conservant style in start contrast with Dávila's inefficient nonstop barrage, with Trout still managing to somehow far eclipse him in connects just by laying back and counter in singles, twos and threes. A few of Trout's power shots actually missing behind the back as they scrum in close, and Dávila rams his shoulder blade into Trout's face, making him blink and shake it off, but still the older American boxer very much in charge. 89-82 Trout.
